It is performed under general anesthesia, the patient receiving hospital care. Standard abdominoplasty incision is made in the horizontal plane underwear, strengthening the abdominal wall and removing excess skin and fat. There are variants: with less scarring (miniabdominoplastie) or extended abdominoplasty.
