How it works

IPL hair reduction is possible targeting the hair follicle, using light energy, which destroys the follicle, preventing hair formation. Energy is attracted to dark pigment of the hair and captured it on photothermolysis process. The hairs found in the active phase is destroyed and removed.
How many treatments are necessary?

Hair growth has three phases: active growth phase (anagen), regression phase, when growth is stopped (catagen) and rest phase, when hair is in preparation for a new growth (telogen).

Like other methods that use light for hair reduction (laser or IPL) treatment is effective only in the anagen phase. At some point, only a certain percentage of follicles are in active growth phase, meaning that treatment will require several procedures performed at 4-6 weeks of each other, to be more effective. Generally 5-7 sessions after treatment ends.
The procedure is painful?

IPL is very easy to tolerate, our IPL device is the newest technology. It has a device that protects the surrounding skin autocool, while allowing light to penetrate the hair follicle. The procedure feels like a pinch of mosquito.
How long does a treatment take?

IPL is very effective, the duration of the procedure depends on the size of area treated, usually takes about 15-30 minutes. For large areas (long legs) during a meeting is longer (60-80 minutes).
What is the difference between IPL and laser?

IPL hair reduction with both laser and is based on the same principle, sending light energy to the hair follicle, the laser emits only one wavelength and uses a small beam of light per pulse, while IPL emits a spectrum of lengths wave and use a wider beam per pulse. This IPL is more effective than laser.
How effective is the treatment?

Generally patients with black hair and white skin respond excellently to treatment, regardless of sex or treatment area.

In order of response to treatment, best results are obtained at: armpits, groin, legs, arms, and the face: sideburns, neck, forehead, chin, upper lip.

After treatment hair growth is reduced by about 90%.

Procedure

Before the meeting should avoid sun exposure treatment and hair removal by plucking. The hairs are brought to the skin through shaving or cutting with scissors the night before treatment.

Contraindications

Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid treatment.

Pigmentation nerves will be protected throughout treatment.

Tattooed areas will not be treated.

Patients who made beach and sun in the last two weeks will avoid treatment (high risk of burning).
